Joe Henderson and his loyal
Malamute companions of Alaskan Arctic Expeditions
have explored more than 40,000 miles of the most remote
arctic areas in Alaska over the past 20 years.
Joe and his team have traveled much of the Brooks
Range and arctic slope, sometimes through blinding,
white-out blizzard conditions and brutally cold
temperatures which at times have been recorded
at -100 degrees Fahrenheit.
Over the years, Joe
has accumulated a wide range of wilderness experiences
which have led to a deeper knowledge, understanding,
and respect of the unforgiving yet delicate arctic
environment. He shares a close friendship with
each malamute on his team and treasures the loyalty,
intelligence, and strength they all display.
Since 1987, Joe and his Malamutes have been touring clients from all over the world through Interior Alaska and the North Slope. Joe enjoys sharing his expertise on dogsled travel, arctic wildlife, and survival skills with his clients!
In his column, "Arctic Traveler", which is featured in Mushing Magazine, Joe shares uniquely fascinating stories of his solo dogsled expeditions in ANWR as well as his methods of training and travel with his team of Alaskan Malamutes!
